My name [ Mayumou ] means "sweet" in my language (kapampangan - mayumu). I wanted to give off the same feeling in the art I create.

I am a freelance artist based in Ontario, Canada, originally from Pampanga, Philippines. I’ve worked as a registered nurse for 8 years but since 2020, I have embarked on a transformative journey from healthcare to pursuing my dream of being an artist.
 

The intense experiences and demands of my profession left me feeling burnt out and in the midst of the chaos, I rediscovered solace and serenity through creating art.
 

Although I've dedicated a lot of time in my career as a nurse, there is a big part of me that still wants to create.

My favourite part about this art journey is my own self-discovery and the meaningful connections I make! ☻
